Project Overview
Treatment Process: The benefit of using UV treatment for effluent sterilization is that it is a non-chemical treatment. At Stellenbosch Waste Water Plant the effluent flows to a river and in order not to contaminate the ecosystem with chlorine; UV is preferred as the treatment option. The objective: to achieve a 2.5 LOG reduction E-Coli.
Project Solution
We installed 3 x In-Line UV Systems – DN350; with 6 x 4Kw lamps each. Total treatment capacity up to 35MLD.
